Snapshot ESA

the 2014 ESA SE Regional Surfing Championships is now open for registration

Deadline is February 24, 2014

See the sheets below, which explain how many slots are guaranteed by division and by district.

ex. Menehune is “5” for CFL (Central Florida) which means the top 5 menehune surfers from CFL are slotted. Does this mean you can’t surf? No! If you want to compete in Regionals and don’t have a guaranteed slot, but you qualify as an alternate (which means you surfed the minimum amount of season events and your membership is current through 9/30/14) we urge you to register for your division(s) as an alternate. In our experience, you will probably get in. This is due, in part, to the fact some some surfers from other districts, or even our own, may not be able to attend. In this situation, registered alternates will be considered to surf at regionals. The worst case scenario, if you don’t get in, you will get a full refund of your registration fee after regionals. It’s a good insurance policy, if you will. We want as many of our CFL surfers to attend and show them what we’re made of! We are proud to be the hosting the SE Regionals this year and we are are excited to showcase our talents to the region! This definitely applies to everyone! Make sure your membership is current thru 9/30/14 or your registration will not be accepted! To renew membership go here.

If your name is in blue, your membership had issues. Many of you took care of this and we thank you. Please disregard the blue if you recently updated your membership. This is each members responsibility and if you’re not sure, notify ESA Headquarters here. If you want to download a full registration and membership packet to be mailed-in click here for forms.

As a director for the Central Florida Easter Surfing Association I am so thrilled for our “member surfers” present and future! What a great opportunity for everyone seeking a path not only to the best East Coast Championships ever, “Easterns”, but now our surfers can participate in the Prime series for a shot at the USA title and a possible spot on Team USA! Check this out! Aloha, Mike Grant

we love hearing when folks have an enjoyable experience with our surfing family…

I was super stoked to talk to you guys at the expo about Ohana competing ESA next season. You have made some really positive changes, and you treated myself and everyone else who talked to you with the utmost respect and enthusiasm. I’m really looking forward to bringing our “family” of competitors to your organization. Yay 🙂 – Michelle

Have a look at the current standings going into our final comp of the 2012-13 competitive season. Your ranking will help determine your invitation and seed at the 2013 ESA SE Regional Championships this April in New Smyrna Beach and from there at the 2013 ESA Easterns in Outer Banks NC. Hope to see everyone out there giving it their best and may the cream rise to the top! See you on the Beach!!

The ESA All-star Team will be inducted at Surf Expo on Friday, January 11th at 12:30pm on the main stage.
